This is a remote position.

Schedule:

  • Part-time, 20 hours a week, Monday 8am-4pm MST, Tuesday 9am-4pm MST. Wednesday 8am-1pm MST

Job Description

As an E-commerce Specialist/Assistant, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and optimizing our client’s online presence across multiple platforms. You’ll be at the forefront of product management, content creation, and store operations for both Shopify-based websites and Amazon. This position offers an exciting blend of creative and technical tasks, allowing you to leverage AI tools for content generation while applying your e-commerce expertise to drive sales and improve customer experience. You’ll have the opportunity to directly impact the growth of a small but ambitious team, working in a fast-paced environment where your ideas and skills can make a real difference.

Responsibilities
  • Manage and expand product listings across multiple Shopify websites, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and optimization for search visibility
  • Craft compelling, SEO-friendly product descriptions using a combination of AI tools and your own expertise
  • Oversee and optimize the company’s Amazon store, including product listings, inventory management, and performance tracking
  • Handle case management within the Amazon seller platform, addressing issues promptly to maintain a stellar seller rating
  • Collaborate with the team to implement e-commerce best practices and stay ahead of industry trends
  • Assist in developing and executing strategies to improve conversion rates and overall online sales performance
  • Contribute creative ideas for product presentation, website improvements, and customer engagement initiatives
Requirements
  • Proven experience in e-commerce, with a strong understanding of online retail operations and best practices
  • Proficiency with Shopify platform and Amazon Seller Central; experience with other e-commerce platforms is a plus
  • Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to create engaging, persuasive product content
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted content creation tools and enthusiasm for incorporating new technologies into workflow
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal
  • Basic understanding of SEO principles and how they apply to e-commerce
  • Ability to analyze data and make recommendations to improve online store performance
  • Passion for the pet industry and eagerness to contribute to a growing business
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
