Responsibilities of the Social Video Editor:

Your responsibilities include:

  • Video Editing for Social Media Content:
    • Edit a high volume of engaging vertical (mobile-friendly) video content for platforms like TikTok and Instagram
    • Work from provided scripts, shot lists, and creative direction to produce content that aligns with the client’s brand
    • Key tasks:
      • Add text overlays to enhance visual communication
      • Integrate voiceovers smoothly into the video
      • Follow and execute creative briefs to deliver the desired outcome

  • Creative Quality Control:
    • Ensure that each video meets the client’s high creative standards focusing on:
      • Consistent and high-quality typography placement in videos
      • Effective motion design to make content stand out
      • Proper color correction and audio balancing for a polished final product
    • Maintain consistency in style and execution across all deliverables

  • Time Management & Project Organization:
    • Follow the client’s workflow for organizing files, folders, and projects
    • Use tools like ClickUp to stay on top of tasks, deadlines, and content assignments
    • Organize content and documents efficiently to manage high-volume editing
    • Prioritize and meet deadlines while maintaining an efficient editing pipeline

  • Trend Monitoring:
    • Keep up with the latest social media trends and platform-specific best practices
    • Apply trend insights to ensure content is fresh, relevant, and appealing to target audiences

  • Team Coordination:
    • Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed efficiently and effectively
