Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Shopify Web Developer to join our team and take our e-commerce platform to the next level. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with an eye for detail, capable of optimizing our Shopify website for performance, user experience, and sales conversion. This role requires collaboration with our team to ensure the site aligns with our brand vision and meets business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Website Performance Optimization: Ensure our website is running efficiently, focusing on speed and technical performance.
  • User Experience (UX): Evaluate and improve site layout, navigation, and user workflow to create a seamless customer journey.
  • Content Completion: Identify gaps in website content and collaborate with our team to complete and optimize it.
  • Cart Abandonment & User Flow: Develop and refine strategies to improve cart abandonment flows and customer retention, maximizing sales conversions.
  • App Management: Audit, manage, and optimize Shopify apps to ensure functionality, including removing or integrating new apps as needed.
  • Sales Optimization: Analyze the website with a fresh perspective, offering actionable recommendations to improve sales and overall performance.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Shopify development, including customizations, app integrations, and theme modifications.
  • Strong understanding of website performance optimization and UX best practices.
  • Experience with tools and techniques for improving cart abandonment rates and user retention.
  • Ability to analyze data and user behavior to inform design and content decisions.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A creative mindset and the ability to approach problems with innovative solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in the e-commerce or retail industry, especially in sporting goods.
  • Familiarity with SEO and digital marketing strategies.
  • Knowledge of analytics tools like Google Analytics and Shopify analytics.
