Designation - Jewelry CAD Designer (Senior-level)

Responsibilities:
  • Create detailed models and technical drawings of jewelry pieces including rings, earrings, bracelets adhering to current industry trends and international customer preferences using CAD software. (e.g. Jewel CAD, Matrix, Rhino, Coral Draw etc.)

  • Create drawings / sketches by hand for the customer’s design requirement.

  • Collaborate with operations team to transform design concepts, references, photographs and drawings into accurate digital renderings.

  • Work with precision and accuracy to ensure minimum revisions, rejections to ensure faster production output.

  • Maintain accurate records of design changes and modifications.

  • Ensure designs adhere to quality, aesthetic, and brand standards while considering manufacturing feasibility.

  • Provide inputs on design elements, metal selection, setting style, stone placements etc. to enhance the overall appeal of the jewelry pieces.

  • Create and update design records for future reference purposes. 

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new techniques, and software advancements to continuously improve design processes.

  • Understand how to do diamond breakups and costing to ensure designs meet price requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Jewelry Design, Industrial Design or related field or equivalent work experience in Jewelry CAD Designing.

  • Minimum 5 years of proven experience as a Jewelry CAD Designer.

  • Detailed portfolio showcasing jewelry designs created using CAD software.

  • Strong proficiency in CAD software’s like Jewel CAD, Rhino, Matrix, Coral Draw etc

  • Extensive knowledge of jewelry industry as well as the manufacturing process.

  • Awareness of changing market trends and international customer preferences.

  • Attention to detail and a flair for aesthetics.

  • Ability to be a team player and work well with the cross functional teams.
