Cloud Devops Engineer

The Data Engineering team helps solve our customers' toughest challenges; making flights safer, power cheaper, and oil & gas production safer for people and the environment by leveraging data and analytics. The Data Engineer will work with the team to create state-of-the-art data and analytics driven solutions, working across Baker Hughes to drive business analytics to a new level of predictive analytics while leveraging big data tools and technologies.

As a Cloud DevOps Engineer, you will work with the team to create state-of-the-art cloud solutions for data and analytics team, building the infrastructure, managing security requirements on AWS cloud platform, working across Baker Hughes to drive business analytics to a new level of predictive analytics while leveraging big data tools and technologies.

As a Cloud Devops Engineer, you will be responsible for:
 

  • Building Enterprise Cloud infrastructure automation solutions that support the Baker Hughes Cloud strategy for the Data Lake platform.
  • Building on automation CI/CD pipelines for deploying the code as part of continuous development
  • Developing, improving, deploying and supporting Cloud automation services
  • Remediating any security vulnerabilities issues to adhere to compliance & security standards
  • Ensuring availability, performance, security, and scalability of AWS production systems
  • Troubleshooting systems and problem resolution across various application domains and platforms
  • Building automation solutions (Python, PowerShell, Java, Node.js, .NET, etc.)

To be successful in this role you will:
 

  • Have a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum 6 years of experience
  • Have experience using Amazon Web Services console, IAM roles, CLI, secure APIs
  • Have experience Deploying infrastructure through automation pipeline
  • Have experience using Amazon CloudFormation, developing automation solutions (Python, PowerShell, Java, Node.js, .NET, etc.)
  • Have Experience developing solutions using infrastructure orchestration tools
  • Have Experience developing solutions that combine data from APIs, endpoints, and databases
  • Have Experience with Azure Devops / Github/ Jenkins Automation, CI/CD and DevOps tools and practices
  • Able to react open-mindedly to new perspectives or ideas. Considers different or unusual solutions when appropriate
  • Able to Follow security guidelines to develop secure and compliant Cloud services by working with CTO and CSRC teams.
  • Able to work closely with the Cloud architect and engineers to design networks, systems, and storage environment that effectively reflect business needs, security requirements, and service level requirements.
