Alteryx is searching for a Manager, Governance Analytics & Infrastructure. This position is remote-friendly.

Position Overview:

As the Governance & Infrastructure Manager on the Alteryx Data Science team, you will be part of an innovative and groundbreaking team, being primarily responsible for managing a world class enterprise data analytics ecosystem with innovative governance processes, driving continuous improvement for a world class analytics company. You will work closely with the Data and Analytics team, our business partners, and key stakeholders to support new environment features/functionality and help bring thoughtfully crafted solutions and processes that the Alteryx team can trust. Success in this role is critical to our commitment to becoming a world-class Data Science team and fostering Alteryx’s Data Science journey!

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Governance and Infrastructure professionals supporting the enterprise analytics needs of our entire Alteryx team to promote data-driven decision making.

  • Proactive sprint planning and organization in Jira to ensure the team is meeting and consistently maintaining their delivery KPIs.

  • Set goals and objectives for team members that align and deliver upon our strategic companywide initiatives.

  • Work closely with our Data Engineering, Data Operations, and Data Science teams to jointly deliver on our overarching data strategy initiatives.

  • Nurture relationships and form partnerships with our Legal, Internal Audit, and Cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with internal/external requirements and standards, including data privacy, GDPR, CCPA, and other legal compliance, as well as adherence to internal audit and data management lifecycle requirements.

  • Establish, own, and champion an enterprise data governance implementation roadmap

  • Lead the development and implementation of data protection standards and adoption requirements across the company.

  • Identify opportunities and define a strategy for enterprise data stewardship across the company

  • Provide progress reports to Senior Leadership and oversee periodic updates to the data governance roadmap.

  • Mentor and coach team members along their career journeys

  • Be fanatical about the data analytics space and help evangelize our work, team, and Alteryx as a whole!

Required Skills:

  • BA/BS degree in Information Science, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.

  • 2+ years of experience leading cross-functional analytics teams and/or projects.

  • 7+ years of enterprise data and/or analytics experience.

  • Experience governing and administering enterprise analytics ecosystems (e.g. Alteryx Designer/Server, Tableau Server, and Snowflake).

  • Familiarity and working experience with US data privacy laws, GDPR, and DPIAs.

  • Delivery-focused approach, providing continuous business value.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage geographically distributed teams.

  • Ability to collaborate with teams across an organization and provide joint deliverables.

  • Strong oral and written communication.

Valued Skills:

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.

  • Experience with AWS management.

  • Understanding of cloud infrastructure.

  • Strong SQL experience.

  • Experience with automated CI/CD pipelines.

Compensation:

Alteryx is committed to fair, equitable, and transparent compensation. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as your relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location. 

The salary range for this role in the United States is $124,100 - $167,600.

Employees may also be eligible for a wide range of other benefits, such as a bonus or commission, medical, retirement, financial, wellness, time off, employee discounts, and others.
