Job description

700Apps is looking for a highly skilled Senior Business System Analyst to join our talented team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between our business needs and technical solutions. You will collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements, design system enhancements, and support the implementation of effective software solutions. Your expertise will be crucial in ensuring that our systems support the overall business strategy and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze business requirements and system requirements.
  • Translate business needs into functional specifications and technical documentation for development teams.
  • Conduct gap analysis and identify areas for process improvement or system enhancements.
  • Collaborate closely with IT teams to design, test, and implement system solutions.
  • Facilitate communication between business units and technical teams to ensure clear understanding and alignment.
  • Support end-user training and documentation to ensure successful adoption of new systems and processes.
  • Conduct quality assurance and validation testing to confirm adherence to requirements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to continually improve systems and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business System Analyst or similar role.
  • Proficient in gathering and documenting both business and technical requirements.
  • Thorough understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and system development methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., UML, BPMN).
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
  • Previous experience in governmental projects is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data analysis is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment and manage multiple priorities.
