This is a remote position.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Expert to join our dynamic team. In this critical role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing containerized applications within the Azure cloud environment. Your expertise in Kubernetes will be instrumental in driving innovation and optimizing our infrastructure for scalability, performance, and reliability.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters on Azure using AKS.
Develop and maintain Kubernetes manifests, deployments, and services.
Troubleshoot and resolve Kubernetes-related issues, including performance bottlenecks, resource contention, and application failures.
Automate Kubernetes operations using tools like Helm, Ansible, and Terraform.
Implement and manage container security best practices, including image scanning, network policies, and RBAC.
Monitor and optimize Kubernetes cluster performance and resource utilization.
Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and migrate them to Kubernetes.
Stay abreast of the latest advancements in Kubernetes and Azure technologies.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers on Kubernetes best practices.
Participate in on-call rotations for production support.
Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in system administration, with at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes & Azure
Strong understanding of Kubernetes concepts, including pods, deployments, services, namespaces, and storage.
Good experience in Kubernetes Administration, Kubernetes Scalabilty, Kubernetes Optimization and Kubernetes Architecture is needed
Experience with container orchestration platforms like Docker and Kubernetes.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
Solid understanding of cloud computing concepts, with a strong preference for Azure.
Experience with networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, and load balancing.
Certifications in Kubernetes (CKA, CKS, CKAD) or Azure
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Experience with Azure services like Azure Monitor, Azure Log Analytics, and Azure Key Vault.
Experience with serverless computing platforms like Azure Functions.

Part time opportunity.
5 to 15 hrs/week on a need basis.
