Job Summary
The Teaching Assistant [TA] will play a pivotal role in supporting learners in Correlation One's premier training programs, combining career development and leadership training expertise. The TA will ensure the success of diverse cohorts of learners, including full-time and part-time Amazon Associates, by providing personalized professional development coaching and educational support.
We are hiring two different types of roles:
Full-time [~6 openings]
- 11-14 hrs/wk
- Support weekly lecture:
- 7 weeks of 6hrs of lecture/week
- 9 weeks of 3hrs of lecture/week
- 3hrs of administrative work [Slack, learner progress tracking, weekly team meeting]
- Up to 5hrs of 1:1 office hour support
- Three instances of up to 17hr waves of grading [51hr total] during three specific weeks of the program
- Week 3 - week of April 13th
- Week 9 - week of May 25th
- Week 13 - week of June 22th
Part-time [~8 openings]
- 8 hrs/wk
- 3hrs of administrative work [Slack, learner progress tracking, weekly team meeting]
- Up to 5hrs of 1:1 office hour support
- Three instances of up to 17hr waves of grading for each of these three specific weeks of the program.
- Week 3 - week of April 13th
- Week 9 - week of May 25th
- Week 13 - week of June 15th
Key Responsibilities:
- Cohort Management - Collaborate and foster the growth of program learners who are looking to take the next step in their leadership careers. Work collaboratively with fellow Teaching Assistants, Lead Instructors, program staff, and instructors to deliver a holistic learner experience.
- Help foster growth and development of the learners as they engage in content focusing on core competency areas in:
- Effective Communication
- Problem-Solving
- Technical Proficiency [foundational understanding of data interpretation and Excel]
- Coaching and Mentoring - Offer professional development coaching to prepare learners for career opportunities, ensuring alignment with program objectives and learner aspirations. Facilitate one-on-one and group coaching sessions to foster growth in technical, operational, and leadership skills.
- Provide up to 5 hours of individual office hour sessions for learners each week. You may set these hours within our parameters at your availability and convenience.
- Teaching and Learning Support [full-time role]: Aid in the delivery of synchronous virtual sessions and provide asynchronous learning support to enhance learner comprehension and engagement. Monitor learner progress and provide timely feedback to address knowledge gaps and build confidence.
- Full-time TAs are required to participate in all assigned live lectures, providing helpful and fast responses via Slack, as well as being prepared to host breakout rooms as needed.
- Half of the time dedicated in live lectures will be TA-led breakout sessions providing learners situational questions where TAs will be front-and-center and evaluate Learner responses live
- Program Operations: Collaborate with program operations staff to prepare for program launch, ensuring readiness before the start date. Support learners throughout the program lifecycle, from onboarding to graduation, ensuring they stay on track and achieve learning outcomes.
- Grade your learners’ submissions, providing feedback and ongoing learning support.
Learners will submit two different forms of deliverables over the course of the program:Leadership Quizzes: 3 times in the program, learners will strive to pass out of core competencies through multiple choice questions and recorded video responses. TAs will watch, grade, and provide feedback to learners on their recorded videosProfessional Development: TAs are responsible for feedback on learners’ resumes and LinkedIn profiles. Time spent on resume and LinkedIn feedback should be limited to 5 minutes per learner per deliverable and should be provided via Slack video DM, unless otherwise requested by the learner.
Program Specific Information:
We are hiring Teaching Assistants for an upcoming program. TAs attend all live lectures, provide office hours focused on career coaching and program content, and support with asynchronous tasks such as grading, answering questions on Slack, etc. The dates and times for upcoming cohorts are as follows:
- Program Start Date: April 1st, 2025
- Program End Date: July 22nd, 2025
- Weekly Lecture Cadence: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 AM - 2 PM ET
Who you are
- As an Operations Leadership Teaching Assistant, you are a passionate advocate for leadership and management education, possessing a strong foundation in operations leadership principles and practices
- An empathetic, strong communicator, able to advise learners about how to achieve their leadership and career goals
- A collaborative team player who is eager to develop new career advising strategies and program engagement initiatives to support learner success
- Organized and a strong project manager who can keep big-picture goals top of mind
Your expertise
- Minimum 4-year college degree or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of professional experience, ideally in career development or coaching, professional counseling, or related program management focused on job seekers
- Experience teaching content focused on leadership skills, conflict resolution, collaboration, people management, and time management
- Comfortable leading live breakout sessions and providing instant feedback and mentorship
- Empathetic and insightful with demonstrated experience coaching or mentoring, especially in high-stakes environments
- Outstanding, executive-ready written and verbal communication skills in English
- Experience developing trusting relationships and effective guidance to adult learners and/or job seekers
- Experience delivering career coaching in an entirely remote format
- An affinity for communicating with others in an empathetic and considerate manner
- Strong work ethic, ability to work well under pressure and with minimal supervision
- Proactive problem-solver, high attention to detail, and a quick learner
- High level of technical proficiency and comfortable adapting to new tools and technologies with ease
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and Slack
Where you are
- This role is remote and can be located anywhere that is compatible with the EST time zone. We are headquartered in New York City and have office space in Midtown Manhattan.
Compensation
Includes a base stipend [9hr/week of administrative work and lecture]; up to 5hr/wk of live, 1:1 meetings with learners; and three instances of ~20hr waves of grading throughout the program
