Job Description

The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership in technical areas, standardization, project management, systems analysis, and programming to solve the most complex business problems. The ability to support multiple integrations to diverse in-house developed and vendor-supplied applications. Support a wide range of geographically dispersed properties, all with a single set of programs running off centralized ticketing systems.

Responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Formulate systems scope and objectives by devising procedures to solve technical problems using information systems.
  • Perform complex system technical design work. Provide strategic technical direction.
  • Guide the efforts of subordinates and contract personnel in accomplishing assigned tasks.
  • Able to manage vendor technology teams.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving skills by defining and presenting technical systems solutions for identified technical issues.
  • Document activities from design to completion to assist future analysts in understanding work solutions.
  • Perform technical reviews with Project Leaders to maintain consistent technical direction and minimize system impact on projects.
  • Take complex technical ideas and bring them to a high-level to encourage understanding at all levels.
  • Deliver a complete solution to ensure thorough understanding of the system (documentation, procedures, training, escalation, error process, etc.).
  • Recognize a request as being within or out of scope and communicates to all involved.
  • Proactively escalates to the next level of management and provides recommendation from available options.
  • Engage others with related code/products/etc. to work together to understand root cause, ripple effects, and an integrated solution.
  • Able to assist leadership with project scope.
  • Able to contribute to department budgeting and planning.
  • Develop strategies and measures results to ensure the satisfaction of customers, project owners and co-workers.
  • Clearly understand and communicate operational impacts to end users.
  • Clearly define expected outcome for the initiative and organization.

Knowledge And Experience

  • 6 - 8 years experience preferred, with an additional three years of project leadership, systems design/analysis, user management, implementation, training, and testing.
  • Ticketmaster Archtics knowledge required. TicketManager experience preferred.
  • Understand complex application integration and communication processes. Individuals should understand Rest API, Message Bus, Message Framework.
  • Full understanding of SDLC and ability to manage the cycle from conception through production deployment. Ability to assist in planning large scale deployments.
  • Full understanding and knowledge of project management techniques; Agile, Waterfall
  • 3 years of project leadership experience required.
  • Rarely requires guidance, even on most complex systems analysis.
  • Requires working knowledge of office tools - spreadsheets, word processing and presentations.

EDUCATION

Bachelor's degree or equivalent education in Computer Sciences, Management Sciences, Hotel/Casino Management, Accounting, or Engineering field preferred.
