We are seeking a dynamic and professional Rehab Insurance Coordinator (RIC) to join our Outpatient Therapy Team. The RIC requires a breadth of knowledge about all insurance reimbursement carriers and the varied intricacies of multiple plans per carrier (and sometimes per discipline) with regard to Outpatient Therapies and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP).

This position will be 100% remote after a partially onsite orientation/training period.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work within the context of patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting.
  • Work collaboratively with therapy team to support exceptional patient experience and outcomes.

  • Engage in staff meetings and Shared Governance to support exceptional patient care.

Qualifications Include:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working in outpatient medical setting
  • Prior experience of insurance – obtaining benefits, submitting authorizations, etc.
  • Epic Cadence scheduling
  • Knowledge of general MS office systems including Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Proficiency with keyboarding
  • Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Knowledge of registration process
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
