We are seeking a dynamic and professional Rehab Insurance Coordinator (RIC) to join our Outpatient Therapy Team. Our therapy team is also given opportunities to actively participate in a team-based leadership structured group that ensures clinical and operational decision making is a collaborative process that promotes future growth and advancement.
The RIC requires a breadth of knowledge about all insurance reimbursement carriers and the varied intricacies of multiple plans per carrier (and sometimes per discipline) with regard to Outpatient Therapies and Child and Adolescent Psychiatry (CAP).
This position will be 100% remote after a partially onsite orientation/training period.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Work within the context of patient-centered care in an outpatient clinic setting.
Work collaboratively with therapy team to support exceptional patient experience and outcomes.
Embrace lifelong learning: willingly receive feedback and learn from team members, seek continual learning opportunities, and share feedback to promote the growth of the team.
Engage in staff meetings and Shared Governance to support exceptional patient care.
Demonstrate a willingness to be flexible and to take on additional responsibilities to support the team and process improvement initiatives within the department.

Qualifications Include:
Minimum 3 years’ experience working in outpatient medical setting
Prior experience of insurance – obtaining benefits, submitting authorizations, etc.
Epic Cadence scheduling
Knowledge of general MS office systems including Outlook, Word and Excel
Proficiency with keyboarding
Ability to multitask with frequent interruptions
Exceptional attention to detail
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal
Knowledge of registration process
Knowledge of medical terminology
