Accounting Specialist

Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking an Account Specialist to join our client for a remote opportunity! This position supports the client’s team goals and objectives by handling all aspects of billing, from setup to termination, ensuring accuracy and efficiency throughout the process. This Contract-to-Hire opportunity offers up to $24/Hour!

Essential Functions:

• Handle customer billing for Newport Retirement Services, including setup, change notice processing, review, corrections, maintenance, billing, and termination.
• Generate on-demand invoices as needed.
• Research and resolve billing inquiries in a timely manner.
• Utilize the ticket system to manage tasks and meet company response time guidelines.
• Investigate, track, and resolve accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies.
• Prepare adjustments related to billing functions and communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
• Maintain data integrity in fee application, CRM, and accounting systems pertaining to customer accounts and billing.
• Provide support for aged receivables.
• Assist with month-end close procedures.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
• Demonstrate proficiency in accounting software, external partner sites, and recordkeeping software.
• Be willing to work flexible hours to meet important financial deadlines.
• Maintain confidentiality of client information.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products, with at least an intermediate user level in Excel.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting from an accredited university OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• Two years of experience in the financial services industry, billing, or accounting.
