Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled EDI Specialist to join our dynamic team. This role requires extensive experience in Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) with a strong background in the apparel industry, third-party logistics (3PL), and familiarity with the ERP system 2000. The EDI Specialist will manage one of our company’s core divisions, collaborating closely with internal teams and directly interfacing with external clients. This individual will be responsible for maintaining seamless communication and managing data integrations to ensure smooth operational workflows.

Key Responsibilities

  • EDI Management: Oversee and maintain EDI transactions, including onboarding new EDI trading partners, troubleshooting EDI-related issues, and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of data exchanges.
  • Client & Team Communication: Act as a liaison between clients and the internal team, providing responsive support for customer inquiries and working collaboratively to resolve any issues related to EDI processes.
  • ERP System Management: Utilize the ERP system 2000 to monitor and manage product data, order processing, and inventory tracking within the framework of our established processes.
  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: Leverage expertise in the apparel industry to understand product lifecycles, inventory needs, and supply chain nuances.
  • 3PL Coordination: Work with third-party logistics (3PL) partners to streamline warehousing, order fulfillment, and distribution processes, ensuring alignment with EDI transactions.
  • Documentation & Compliance: Maintain accurate records of EDI transactions, partner agreements, and ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 3-5 years of experience in EDI operations, with a preference for candidates with knowledge in the apparel industry and third-party logistics (3PL).
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in EDI transactions and ERP system 2000 is required. Candidates with experience in other relevant software or similar ERP systems are encouraged to apply.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent English language proficiency with minimal accent. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Organizational Skills: Strong attention to detail, multitasking abilities, and capacity to manage several tasks with shifting priorities.
  • Problem-Solving: Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot EDI-related issues independently and implement solutions efficiently.
  • Customer Focused: Previous experience in a customer-facing role is a plus. Ability to engage professionally with clients, respond to inquiries, and maintain a high standard of client satisfaction.
