Responsibilities

The Purchasing Manager is responsible for the acquisition and delivery of raw materials, components and parts that together form the “end product.” Includes acquisition of goods at the right time, quantity, quality, and cost. Plans and implements activities related to the timely, cost-effective procurement, inventory control, planning and quality control of production materials.

  • Lead, mentor, and manage the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Develops, implements, and maintains policies, procedures, and material control systems to reduce costs, streamline procedures, and implement solutions.
  • Responsible for sourcing and supplying raw materials, utilities and outside services, as well coordinating global procurement efforts. Reviews and plans requirements for acceptable inventory.
  • Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.
  • Acts as advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.
  • Establishing procurement metrics and monitoring them.
  • Maintain relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure reliable sources of materials and favorable terms.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs, identifying potential supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience

6-10 years experience in related field

Experience with SAP and DDMRP highly regarded

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $103,000 and $164,000 and provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
