Diebold Nixdorf’s Global Audit and Enterprise Risk department has an opening for a Senior Internal Auditor working remotely in India. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and assist in building an internal function that was formerly outsourced. Our mission is to enhance operational excellence and protect organizational value by providing advice and insight as a trusted advisor to the organization; and independent, objective assurance on the company’s risk management, control activities and financial reporting integrity. As the Senior Internal Auditor for EurAsia, you will have regional responsibility over Europe and Asia for the day-to-day execution of the Company’s compliance testing related to section 404 of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act in addition to supporting other audit activities as needed. This position will report to the Audit Manager for Germany and APAC, based in Poland.
Responsibilities
Plan and execute end to end SOX compliance testing from scoping to issue identification for relevant region; approximately 70% of job responsibility.
Assist risk-based audit team in performing operational audits.
Investigate transactions in relevant region resulting from DN’s continuous monitoring function.
Liaise with regional controllers, external auditors and shared services on a frequent basis to ensure alignment and collaboration.
Perform risk analysis of functions and activities to determine the nature of operations and the adequacy of the system of internal control to achieve objectives.
Understand risks and controls and apply logic to assess the control environment of assigned functions/areas.
Obtain, analyze, and appraise evidentiary data as a basis for an informed objective opinion on the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment.
Communicate and document on a timely basis all audit issues to key stakeholders.
Perform or assist with special projects and investigations as assigned by Internal Audit Management.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or other Business degree, preferred
3-5 years of audit-related experience with a preference toward public or corporate audit experience
Knowledge and experience related to Sarbanes Oxley compliance efforts and activities
Experience with SAP, Oracle or other ERP system, preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
U.S. multinational experience is a plus
Individual must be self-motivated and require minimal supervision
