We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of People Business Partnering to lead our operational People Business Partnering team. This senior leadership role combines strategic and operational responsibilities, specifically focusing on strategic workforce transformation, complex employee relations and leading a small team. The role offers an immediate start, working full time 40 hours per week on a 9-month fixed term contract (with the possibility of extension), working remotely (within the UK).
As our Head of People Business Partnering, your key responsibilities will include:
- Team Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of circa 7 Business Partners and Advisers, ensuring consistent delivery of employee relations (ER) solutions across the university
- Change Management: Lead on restructures, TUPE processes and collective consultations, ensuring minimal business risk and maximum organisational effectiveness
- Employee Relations: Serve as the subject matter expert on ER matters, driving best practice in equality, diversity, and equity
- Policy Development: Develop, maintain, and implement people policies that align with legal requirements and organisational goals
- Strategic Initiatives: Partner with the Chief People Officer to deliver key HR elements of the University’s strategic plan
Is this you?:
We are looking for a confident and collaborative professional who combines deep expertise in employee relations with strong leadership capabilities.
- CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex employee relations
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and its application
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and influencing skills
- Experience in managing TUPE processes and change programs.
