Job description

Overview

The Telecommunications Administrator provides high quality telecommunications support and administration, including project management services to CCRM and Unified Women’s Healthcare. Ensure the enterprise telecommunications infrastructure is designed, maintained, and operated in the most efficient and cost-effective manner. This role is responsible for system replacement and expansion when necessary to meet growing needs. The technologies involved are VOIP, Various Phone Systems, fiber-optic, LAN, WAN, video systems, circuit management, security systems and wireless access systems. Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and resolve telecom issues within a Ring Central or 3CX phone environment promptly, minimizing downtime and service disruptions.
  • Provide high-touch care by proactively identifying potential issues, addressing concerns with empathy, and ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Proactively resolve cases created by staff to quickly resolve staff requests through our ticketing system.
  • Translate technical language into simple, understandable terms for non-technical staff, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Provide training and support to end-users, ensuring they feel confident in using telecom systems. Manage assigned telecom projects from inception to completion, ensuring that all activities, including contracting with support partners, design, product/equipment ordering, DID port, close-out, and hand-off to ops are effectively and efficiently coordinated and completed.
  • Manage all new deployment and acquisition projects to standardize both the telecom systems and route call flows to enterprise standard Ring Central phone system.
  • Work with networking and other technology staff to prevent and resolve issues related to the delivery of phone services.
  • Develop and maintain thorough documentation of telecom systems, configurations, and support procedures.
  • Coordinates communication and restoration of telecommunication service through the standard internal process.
  • Monitor in scope telecom devices and execute on all changes to call tree or call routing changes while managing communication to business units.
  • Create job aids as simple instructions and process documentation that deliver information on performing a task or solving employee problems.
  • Strategize potential overlay applications to increase efficiencies within various cross functional teams.
  • Provides support in reviewing all changes and submitting associated formal requests with the business units’ systems for outages.
  • Provide telecommunications reporting to internal operations team members and management.
  • Work as a single point of contact for support and participate in joint resolution for 3rd party DIA carriers including providing trouble support, outage Communication/coordination and dispatching for any service issues.
  • Document and update training material found in Knowledge Base articles
  • Support sustainability of security control framework and audit management processes within the telecommunications function.
  • Update necessary documentation for all installed services and maintain standard operating procedures documents related to telecom services.
  • Plan work for phone related projects, execute to plan, and report status to provide key project and department leads with comprehensive overview of status and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise.
  • Ensure accurate and complete files are maintained for projects and appropriate close-out documents are distributed in a timely manner in accordance with corporate standards.
  • Ensures system designs, both new and existing adhere to company architecture standards and policies.
  • Identify architectural risks and propose alternatives and solutions.
  • Travel to other enterprise network sites as needed with up to 15% travel.
  • Understand and adhere to all company Ethical and Compliance policies.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Qualifications

  • 4-year degree, or combination of experience and education
  • 5+ years combined experience as telecommunications administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of telecommunications/wireless project management, asset management
  • Knowledge of phone systems including Ring Central, 3CX VOIP system, or equivalent technologies
  • Flexibility: task assignment, priorities, work environment
  • Quick thinker, creative problem solver
  • Ability to travel to remote sites.
  • Experience with clinical workflow analysis or process design, managing a database-driven system, and supporting clinical end users.
  • Demonstrated success in delivering excellent customer support.
