Job description

Regroup Mass Notification — a global company with headquarters in Dallas — is growing! We currently have openings for a Data Scientist. Regroup believes in working with talented yet humble people who care about our core mission: Keeping communities and organizations safe and informed. 


We are looking for a Data Scientist to analyze large amounts of raw information to find patterns that will help guide and improve our decision making process. We will rely on you to build data products to extract valuable business insights.


Responsibilities:


  • Develop an understanding of the company’s business model to identify financial trends and provide value-added analysis.
  • Oversee the interpretation of data for the businesses
  • Assist with the developing financial models and dashboards on a monthly basis
  • Dashboards will include metrics like Customer Acquisition Costs (CAC), Churn, Lifetime Value (LTV), Cash Flow, and Profitability (also per client)
  • Help build forecast and revenue reports that provide visibility into current performance and assessment against targets.
  • Help with reviewing financial and transactional results to assess potential impact on forecast
  • Establishing a culture of collaboration between teams, monitoring key metrics around availability, performance, and data delivery to ensure SLAs are met with internal stakeholders
  • To write reports outlining business predictions or proposals
  • Managing Data sets across multiple databases
  • Preparing budget and Operating Expenses analysis. 
  • Provide support to management for ad hoc requests and preparation of financial analysis and presentations as requested.
  • Problem solving and financial-modeling skills including ability to identify and quantify business impact of opportunities with limited information.
  • Identify opportunities for performance improvement across the organization




Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting; MBA is a plus
  • 5+ years of progressive financial analysis or accounting experience including modeling and forecasting
  • Solid understanding of applied accounting concepts, bookkeeping and core financial statements Advanced knowledge with excel and google sheets.
  • Highly analytical and detail-oriented with ability to maintain analytical thinking
  • P&L, Cash flow, OKR reporting experience
  • Advance level of finance report analysis
  • Experience with Salesforce.com and Tableau.
  • Experience implementing ERP systems from the ground up.

This is a 1099 contract position.
