The Global Alliance Director for Lenovo is responsible for all aspects of our Lenovo partnership, including developing the partnership strategy and delivering new business to Veeam through a joint go-to-market with Lenovo. In this role, you’ll get the opportunity to develop the global strategy, define the goals, create strategic initiatives, and then execute, using your business development, sales, and relationship skills. Driving and accelerating Veeam’s growth with Lenovo is the primary function of this position, and you will engage closely with both Veeam and Lenovo executives, sales, pre-sales, and channel teams, product management, and alliance marketing.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute an annual business plan with Lenovo that accelerates revenue and new customer growth.
  • Strategic Partnership Development: Collaborate with Lenovo to develop the partnership, explore and identify innovative areas of collaboration that align with organizational goals, and enhance the partnership's overall leadership.
  • Research and Analysis: Conduct comprehensive market research and analysis to understand emerging trends, ensuring that our partnership with Lenovo remains competitive and forward-thinking.
  • Business Development: Own and ensure the execution of the Lenovo Business Plan with Lenovo through the enablement of the GEOs, Channel partners, and field. Implement robust risk assessment frameworks in collaboration with Lenovo to identify business status and develop proactive strategies to mitigate potential market and business changes.
  • Collaboration and Engagement: Foster strong relationships with Lenovo representatives and internal stakeholders to facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and joint initiatives that promote best practices in jointly designed solutions. Work closely with the Lenovo Business Unit, Geos, Marketing, and channel teams to develop structured plans to be deployed Globally.
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that implement cutting-edge Lenovo–Veeam solutions and explore areas of collaboration.
  • Training and Development: Organize training sessions and workshops for staff to elevate awareness and Veeam skills within Lenovo.
  • Performance Metrics and Reporting: Establish key performance indicators to measure the impact of the Lenovo partnership.
  • Integration and Implementation: Lead efforts to integrate Veeam software products into Lenovo products, solutions, and offerings.
  • Ensure we build relationships at the highest level within Lenovo to drive alignment and commitment to the partnership. 
  • Drive peer-to-peer alignment between the Veeam and the Lenovo teams.
  • Build senior executive champions to drive change and overcome hurdles.
  • Drive Veeam mindshare within Lenovo through regular communication (win stories, etc.) and relationship cadence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent time in the workforce
  • At least 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in global alliance management or leadership
  • At least 8 years of experience working for or with Lenovo, where you understand how Lenovo works and with established contacts and relationships with key executives at Lenovo.
  • Proven experience in management and control alliance investments to drive pipeline generation initiatives as part of the business plan (Sales Incremental Funds, MDF, POE)
  • Proven track record of developing Lenovo into a strategic global alliance partner.

The salary range posted is On Target Earnings (OTE), which is inclusive of base and variable pay. When making an offer of employment, Veeam will take into consideration the candidate’s expectations, experience, education, scope of responsibility for the role, and the current market demands.

$242,100$345,800 USD
