The Job
Koombea is looking for a QA Engineer to join our Team. Your main goal is to assess software quality and feature releases through manual testing. For new feature releases, you’ll be responsible for finding and reporting bugs, making suggestions and considerations, as well as ensuring that every phase and feature of the software solution is tested and that any potential issue is identified and fixed before the product goes live.
As Koombea QA Engineers, you’ll be responsible for test plan creation, maintenance, review, and execution. You’ll also interact with product managers, architects, developers as well as technical writers all throughout the product lifecycle - from concept to implementation - and act as the voice of the customer to maintain the quality of the product suite.
What You’ll DoWork closely with Project Team and QA Managers to review Requirements/Specifications, estimate tasks, and size project releases.Oversight for all test planning, documentation, and execution of functional systems, end-to-end, and regression tests to uncover defects and improve the overall quality of the software.Generate QA reports that clearly communicate QA results, concerns, and project status with an emphasis on project risk, including defect rates.Interface with business and project teams to understand and resolve any quality issues that are discovered during any phase of the project life cycle.Review Business Requirements for gaps, traceability, and testability.Review test results and create test reports for QA management and senior leadership.Influence the project team to follow the defined procedures within the quality system.Support Team to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies.Provide input to project management on risks or issues related to testing.Help testing APIs and web services that bring feedback to front-end and back-end teams (Desirable).What You’ll Bring to the Team4+ years of experience in software testing (Functional and Automation Testing).Experience in End-to-End Testing projects.In-depth knowledge and experience with testing strategy and quality throughout the entire SDLC.Advanced English Level C1
Experience in Mobile Application Automation and framework development.Android experience with Kotlin, Java, Appium, Selenium, Espresso, Maven, Cucumber.iOS experience with - XCUITest, Cucumber, Swift, Appium, Selenium.Writing automation scripts for Native Mobile Applications for iOS/ Android platforms using Appium.Must have worked with tools such as Android Studio, Xcode etc.Github to clone repositories, pull changes, approve PRs PostgreSQL to verify data traceability (desirable). Postman to test APIs App Distribution such as Fabric-Firebase (desirable). CMS’ such as Drupal, WordPress or any other. (desirable). Figma to review
Basic HTML, CSS, Javascript. Basic knowledge of HTTP Requests to test. Tools to record testing evidence or create user manuals. Tools to manage defects and times. Waterfall and Agile.
