Anchor Point Studios, a global game studio under NetEase Games, was founded by veteran game designer Paul Ehreth in October 2022. Fueled by a world-class team of developers, Anchor Point Studios is passionate about creating immersive and engaging console and PC action games. We are Anchor Point Studios and we’re looking for a Senior Game Designer to help us build the future of mind-blowing video game entertainment for a new, innovative 3D action title.

As our Senior Game Designer you’ll find yourself collaborating on a daily basis with leads and directors to develop prototypes and ideas that support endless replayability. Additionally, you can expect to find yourself being immersed on a daily basis as follows:

Develop, pitch and spearhead gameplay ideas with a clear vision as to how they positively impact the game.
Own, document, design, implement and receive ideas with a focus on player experience.
Design and develop a broad range of gameplay systems, mechanics, and features that enhance player engagement and enjoyment.
Work with directors, production, engineering, animation, UI and the design teams to solve workflow issues and develop content pipelines.

Requirements and Skills:

AAA quality experience with a wide range of game design experience but essentially, knowledge and passion for action, adventure games leaning into social, immersive experiences.
Knowledge of Unreal Engine and blueprint scripting.
Strong documentation skills. Excel formatting skills are a big plus.
Clear, concise communication skills.
