Accounts Receivable Specialist

(Milwaukee, WI)

 

Good Karma Brands (GKB) is searching for an Accounts Receivable Specialist who will play a key role in supporting the finance and operations team. The candidate will post a high volume of daily cash receipts, determine credit limits for new partners, work closely with sales teams in managing collections, and contribute to improving processes, while demonstrating an excellent attention to detail and embodying the company’s core values: Listen, Be Honest, Follow Through, Work Hard, Teamwork and Over Deliver.

Daily Tasks of an Accounts Receivable Specialist:

  • Post high volume of daily cash receipts from payment lockbox, ACH and credit cards to customer accounts in Wide Orbit Traffic A/R system in a timely and accurate manner
  • Work closely with Marketing Consultants (Account Executives) and partners to resolve payment discrepancies (i.e. skipped invoices, over/underpayments, unclear remittance information)
  • Research and address unapplied receipts in a timely manner
  • Function as a point of contact for payment applications for partners and internal teammates
  • Run monthly A/R meetings with market managers
  • Execute Credit Balance Policy
  • Determine credit worthiness of new and existing partners utilizing credit reporting agency and independent research skills
  • Reach out to teammates and/or partners as needed regarding outstanding balances
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mindset and proactively seek ways to improve upon existing procedures and processes 
  • Other duties as assigned

Preferred knowledge,skillsand qualifications:

  • Minimum (2) years of experience in collections and/or credit determination required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) 
  • Strong attention to detail. 
  • Passion to be a part of a team while also having the ability to work independently. 
  • Ability to think outside of the box and problem solve. 
  • Strong organizational and time management skills. 
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Personal sense of responsibility and accountability.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment - a multi-tasker.
  • Cash application experience a plus.
  • Wide Orbit experience a plus.  
  • Experience in broadcasting is a plus.

Hours/Salary/Benefits 

This is a non-exempt hourly role that is overtime eligible for hours worked over 40 per week. This role is eligible for full benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, Life Insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) Plan, Dependent Care, paid parental leave, and more with opportunities for salary growth increase with skills and responsibilities and meeting targeted goals. The position will be required to work some evenings and weekends and is an in-office role.
