Job description

Role: HSEQ Manager 

Location: Remote with Travel across UK

About the role:

This role will focus on ensuring across the ERIKS UK&I locations that HSEQ requirements are in line with ISO standards, legal requirements, and ERIKS UK&I business strategy with the aim to continually add value. This is a national role to support ERIKS Engineering sites.

NEBOSH and lead auditor qualified, the HSEQ Manager will support the delivery of exceptional quality, health and safety, and environmental advice and set and maintain high operational standards across all Engineering sites to ensure zero accidents. There will be a strong focus on the practical implementation of improvements within the sites supported by the HSEQ Manager.

  • Assess all operations to ensure compliance with company, national international standards, and legislation where appropriate.

  • Complete and maintain records of audits, corrective and preventative actions using agreed ERIKS standard documentation.

  • Understand and maintain an awareness of relevant legislative changes and their impact upon the ERIKS operations.

  • Provide information, instruction, and training respective to corporate HSEQ processes, and coaching to support site confidence and competence in HSEQ requirements.

  • Creation of enforcement notices where operations and or employees fail to comply with company, national, international standards, and legislation.

  • Define, develop, and implement new HSEQ procedures, operational standards and establish clearly defined methods and safe systems of work in line with industry.

  • Identify and lead projects to strengthen compliance in relation to HSEQ .

  • Investigate and compile management reports detailing remedial actions/recommendations on accidents and incidents, or HSE visits where required.

About you:

  • NEBOSH General Certificate in Health and Safety

  • ISO Lead-auditor in one or all ERIKS UK&I ISO certifications

  • Detailed knowledge of systems and standards to support health, safety, environment and quality management, e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

  • Experience as a lead auditor or as an HSEQ practitioner

  • HSE experience in either Engineering or Logistics environments
