WHAT DOES THIS JOB HOLD FOR YOU?   

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Advanced Test Design:  

  1. Create detailed test plans and cases based on functional specifications, user stories, and business requirements.  

  2. Design test scenarios for edge cases, negative testing, and complex user flows, with a focus on ensuring seamless user experiences.  

  • Independent Testing Execution:  

  1. Conduct functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing across web, mobile, and system platforms.  

  2. Validate workflows and interactions, especially for applications with hardware integrations, such as POS, KDS, and Kiosk systems.  

  • Defect Management:  

  1. Identify, document, and manage software defects using a defect management system.  
  2. Provide detailed defect reports, including reproducible steps, screenshots, logs, and environment details.  
  3. Collaborate with development teams to ensure swift and effective defect resolution.  
  • Collaboration with Development Teams:  

  1. Work closely with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure alignment on quality goals.  

  2. Provide feedback on user stories and technical requirements, especially in scenarios involving POS, KDS, and Kiosk workflows.  

  • Test Automation:  

  1. Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated test scripts.  

  2. Utilize appropriate automation frameworks to improve testing efficiency and scalability for complex systems.  

  • Quality Assurance Processes:  

  1. Participate in code reviews and requirement analysis sessions.  

  2. Recommend and implement improvements to QA processes and methodologies to enhance product quality. 

WHAT YOU BRING 

The Level II QA Engineer is a mid-level role responsible for performing comprehensive testing of software applications to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This role requires the ability to independently design test cases, execute various testing methodologies, identify and manage complex defects, and contribute to process improvements. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of QA experience, strong analytical skills, technical proficiency in manual and automated testing frameworks, and a background or interest in testing Point of Sale (POS) systems, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), and Kiosk applications, which will be considered a strong advantage. You will report to the QA Lead of our client. 

Required Knowledge, Qualification, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Experience: 2–5 years of experience in software quality assurance testing. Familiarity with testing POS systems, Kitchen Display Systems (KDS), and Kiosk applications is highly desirable but not mandatory.  

  • Testing Methodologies: Strong understanding of the software testing life cycle (STLC), black-box testing, white-box testing, regression testing, and performance testing.  

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail) and defect tracking systems. Experience with automation frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium) and basic scripting knowledge.  

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to document defects and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.  

  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to analyze complex requirements, identify potential issues, and troubleshoot problems effectively. 

Preferred Qualification: 

  • Hands-on experience with POS, KDS, and Kiosk applications, including workflows and hardware integrations, is a strong advantage.  

  • Familiarity with payment processing workflows and peripheral hardware testing (e.g., printers, scanners, card readers).  

  • Basic programming knowledge in languages like Python, Java, or JavaScript.
