Senior Data Architect (Spain/ Portugal)

We are seeking a skilled and dynamic Data Analyst / Data Architect with expertise in AWS technologies and real-time messaging platforms. The candidate will lead the mapping, analysis, and integration of data components across multiple interfaces. 

The impact you'll make:

• Requirement Analysis:
  • Gather and document low-level requirements for data interfaces.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business processes, data needs, and technical dependencies.
• Data Analysis & Mapping
  • Perform in-depth analysis of data components, structures, and relationships.
  • Design data mapping strategies and models for both tactical and long-term solutions.
• Interface Design & Optimization
  • Assess and recommend the most suitable interfaces for data integration.
  • Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and alignment with organizational objectives.
• AWS Data Services Implementation
  • Utilize AWS technologies such as AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, Amazon S3, and AWS Data Pipeline for data storage, transformation, and integration.
  • Optimize data workflows using AWS Lambda, Amazon Kinesis, and Step Functions for real-time and batch processing.
  • Implement and manage SQS (Simple Queue Service) and SNS (Simple Notification Service) for asynchronous messaging and notifications.
• Real-Time Messaging & Streaming
  • Design and implement real-time data streaming solutions using Kafka and Confluent.
  • Ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability in message broker implementations.
  • Build robust pipelines for event-driven architectures integrating AWS services and Kafka ecosystems.
• Data Governance and Security
  • Implement robust data governance frameworks and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards using AWS IAM, encryption, and access control best practices.
• Collaboration & Documentation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, developers, and business analysts, to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Document data mappings, processes, and architectural decisions thoroughly.

What you'll bring to us:

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Or
• An MBA with at least 7 years of experience in technical IT data delivery projects is also acceptable.

• Proven experience in data analysis, data architecture, and designing complex data workflows.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Data Analytics and Integration Services.
• Strong experience with SQS, SNS, Kafka, and Confluent in data streaming and messaging solutions.
• Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Java for data analysis and transformation.
• Experience with ETL tools, data modelling techniques, and API-based integrations.
• Expertise in AWS services like AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon RDS, and Amazon S3.
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures, streaming platforms, and messaging services.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking.
• Detail-oriented with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Preferred Skills: 

• AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional) is a plus.
• Familiarity with big data technologies like Apache Spark or Hadoop is advantageous.
• Experience in agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
