Job Description:

We are seeking a Director of Strategy and Growth to be at the forefront of shaping the future of our Agriculture business. This role is responsible for envisioning and executing long-term strategic plans that drive sustainable growth, market leadership, and innovation. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, senior leadership, and external partners to identify opportunities, formulate strategic initiatives, and guide the Agriculture business toward achieving its growth objectives. 

What you will be responsible for: 

Strategic Vision and Roadmapping: 

  • Developing a clear and compelling long-term strategic vision for the Agriculture business, aligning with the company's overall mission and goals. 

  • Creating a strategic roadmap that outlines key initiatives, milestones, and performance metrics to guide the Agriculture business’ growth journey. 

Market Analysis and Opportunity Identification: 

  • Conducting thorough market research, competitive analysis, and customer insights to identify emerging trends, competitive threats, and growth opportunities. 

  • Translating market insights into actionable strategies that position the Agriculture business as an industry leader. 

Business Development and Partnerships: 

  • Identifying and evaluating potential strategic partnerships, alliances, and collaboration opportunities that enhance the unit's capabilities and market reach. 

  • Negotiating and structuring partnerships, acquisitions, or investments to drive synergistic growth. 

Performance Tracking and Reporting: 

  • Defining and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of strategic initiatives and growth targets. 

  • Providing regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders on progress, challenges, and adjustments to the strategic plan. 

Cross-Functional Collaboration: 

  • Collaborating closely with product, sales, marketing, customer experience, engineering, and finance teams to align strategies and ensure seamless execution of growth initiatives. 

  • Leading cross-functional project teams to drive specific strategic projects to completion. 

Change Leadership and Communication: 

  • Leading change initiatives and fostering a culture of innovation, adaptability, and continuous improvement within the business. 

  • Effectively communicating the strategic vision and growth plans to all levels of the organization, including Company owners, promoting alignment and engagement. 

 

What you will bring to the role:  

  • Progressive experience in strategic planning, business development, or related roles, with a focus on driving growth and innovation. 

  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful long-term strategic plans that resulted in significant business growth. 

  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into actionable strategies. 

  • Strong business acumen, market insight, and familiarity with industry trends and dynamics. 

  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization. 

  • Demonstrated experience in negotiating and structuring strategic partnerships and alliances. 

  • Effective project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams. 

  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal. 

  • Change management experience and a passion for fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. 

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving business environment.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between $142,500 and $190,000. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experience, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeted hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
