Global Sourcing Manager

Neogen is looking to hire a Global Sourcing Manager who will be responsible for locating and qualifying suppliers to support the designated Product Lines/Commodities.

This can be a fully remote position; however, candidate must be located near Lansing, MI, Lexington, KY, or Oakdale, MN and be willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare bid requests, contract proposals, and other documents needed to initiate a procurement process
• Locate and work with the appropriate departments to qualify new suppliers
• Negotiate and execute agreements to secure a competitive market position for Neogen.
• Identify key materials for the company and secures secondary/tertiary suppliers for these items
• Maintain a pulse on market conditions for the designated product lines/commodities and recommends needed actions to minimize risks for the company
• Onboard New Suppliers to ensure all needed forms/documentation has been completed
• Work with Quality and Regulatory departments to resolve any identified issues/risks with a supplier
• Collate information from suppliers such as: Quotations, SDS, CoA’s and CoO’s, drawings/specifications
• Liaise with suppliers on all relevant contract documents where required
• Assist with retrieving internal information from different locations such as: Product descriptions, product codes, supplier details  annual qty’s, price per UOM, total price, lead times etc.
• File all Contracts, and set reminders for renewals in the relevant system.
• Send New Supplier forms during the onboarding process ensuring each department has completed their side before final sign off from us.
• Liaise with accounts departments, on Invoice queries
• Work out the impact of price increases from suppliers.
• Additional projects as assigned by Supervisor

Education and Experience

• 4-5 years of experience in sourcing/purchasing organization at global company
• Bachelor of Science or Higher Education
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA MM Modul
• Experience with Microsoft 365 especially excel and Power BI
• Experience across commodities in Pharma/Life Science, Automotive or Aerospace is an advantage.
• Experience in leading negotiations and managing medium to large value procurement projects.
