Brown & Brown is seeking a Quality Assurance and Operations Specialist for our team in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

American Specialty is a leading, nationally-recognized SPORTS, LEISURE & ENTERTAINMENT insurance organization serving clients in the professional sports, amateur sports, leisure and entertainment industries.

The Quality Assurance and Operations Specialist performs quality control reviews to ensure products and services meet quality standards. Identifies potential system and process improvements based on findings. Performs a variety of tasks related to the disciplines of underwriting support, policy services, compliance, and insurance operations with specific emphasis on compliance responsibilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Perform quality control checks of documents such as policies, proposals, and endorsements; track results per established protocols; and use findings to recommend quality improvement solutions.
  • Add required acceptance page information to proposals and format for delivery.
  • Prepare insurance binders when policies are not issued and delivered within the designated timeframe.
  • On occasion, perform policy services and underwriting support tasks as requested by the Policy Services director, which could include endorsement processing, running/reviewing MVRs, and preparing legal notices.
  • Conduct internal file audits in collaboration with Insurance Operations & Compliance Manager.
  • Serve as liaison to Arrowhead Shared Services team to maintain corporate and individual producer, adjuster, MGA, RPG, TPA, and surplus lines.
  • Maintain broker E&O and licensing information in collaboration with Insurance Operations & Compliance Manager.
  • Assist teammates pursuing professional designations to secure study materials and register for exams.
  • Distribute materials for and track compliance with Anti-Fraud and related training requirements.
  • Twice each year, conduct AM Best due diligence on active carriers and record results.
  • Manage Surplus Lines compliance in conjunction with Arrowhead Shared Services team.
  • Provide back-up to other Quality Assurance and Operations Specialist as needed.
  • Any other job-related duties as may be assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Two or more years’ experience in insurance-related administrative or customer service position.
  • Proven ability to estimate tasks and meet deadlines, working accurately and effectively with minimal supervision in a team environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated, hardworking and flexible. 
  • Computer technologies: strong working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and ability to quickly adapt to internal proprietary software programs.
  • This position requires routine or periodic travel.

Pay Range

22.00 - 24.00 Hourly

The pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
