THE OPPORTUNITY:
The Senior Total Rewards Specialist is a key contributor to the implementation, and administration of the organization's total rewards programs. We are seeking a detail-oriented subject matter expert to administer and enhance our total rewards programs. The Sr. Total Rewards Specialist role focuses on worker's compensation, leave of absence administration, and serves as the forward-facing point of contact for all benefit-related inquiries. The specialist will also administer unemployment claims, 401(k) plans, compensation analysis, and time off policies, practices and procedures, while playing an active role in educating and communicating total rewards programs across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Worker's Compensation and Leave of Absence Administration:
- Manage and administer worker's compensation claims, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Oversee leave of absence programs including FMLA, ADA, personal, and other leaves.
- Collaborate with managers, team members, HR Business Partners, and external vendors to ensure smooth processes and timely resolutions.
Benefits Administration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for employees regarding benefits inquiries, including health, dental, vision, life insurance, and other company-provided benefits.
- In partnership with Total Rewards Supervisor, lead benefits education efforts, conducting orientations, information sessions, and guiding employees through enrollment and benefit changes.
- Assist with annual open enrollment, and team member benefit changes throughout the year.
Unemployment Claims Management:
- Handle unemployment claims, ensuring accurate and timely submission of necessary documentation.
- Reduce paper mail by creating accounts for agencies and processing claims online.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of unemployment data to support compliance and cost management.
401(k) Plan Administration:
- Collaborate with third-party administrators and record-keeper to ensure operations are in alignment with goals and objectives and adherence to ERISA regulations.
- Educate employees about retirement plan benefits and provide support for their inquiries.
- Partake in annual plan testing, auditing, and filings.
- Coordinate with third-party administrators to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Compensation:
- Assist in the development and management of compensation programs, including salary structures, job evaluations, and market analyses.
- Ensure compensation practices align with company objectives and comply with relevant laws and regulations.
Time Off Policies:
- Partake in administration of holiday and vacation time off policies, ensuring accurate tracking and communication with team members.
- Provide guidance on PTO usage, accruals, and carryovers in accordance with company policy and legal requirements.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure all total rewards programs are compliant with applicable laws and regulations.
- May prepare and analyze reports related to compensation, benefits, worker's compensation, and leaves of absence.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
· 5+ years in benefits, LOA, and WC administration
· At least 3+ years of experience in 401(K) and compensation or 3 years combination of both functions.
· Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field, or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
· Deep knowledge of worker's compensation, leave of absence administration, and benefits programs.
· High level of proficiency in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
o Efficiently perform commonly used formulas (e.g., vlookup, IF statements, True/False, TRIM, SUM,) as well as Pivot Tables, charts, drop down lists, etc.
· Ability to organize and summarize data, make recommendations, and prepare leadership-ready reports and communications.
· Proficiency in HRIS systems and benefits administration platforms.
· Experience in a multi-state or global organization.
· Knowledge and understanding of regulatory framework governing benefits and HR including but not limited to HIPAA, COBRA, FMLA, ADA, ERISA, and benefits-related DOL and IRS regulations
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
· SHRM-CP/SHRM-SCP or CEBS certification.
· Experience using ADP as the HRIS system of record.
· Experience working with Total Rewards functions for Canada locations.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
As necessary based on operational needs, including Annual Open Enrollment. Approximately 10-15% of time.
