Summary of Job Duties:
Billing Specialist II has the functional responsibility for timely and accurate billing and collections of UAMS Customer revenue contracts to facilitate the maximization of cash flow and proper revenue recognition.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED plus four (4) years of business experience OR an Associate’s plus two (2) years of business experience; OR a Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Post Graduate Degree with 2 years of business experience

  • Advanced Excel skills


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Creates and issues timely, accurate invoices to customers based on contract terms
  • Inputs, verifies and maintains information in Workday.
  • Interacts with customers regarding inquires; investigations and coordinates resolution of account discrepancies
  • Proactively reviews and analyzes customer accounts receivable aging report to ensure timely and accurate payments are received; follows up with customers regarding past due balances (45-90 days).
  • Monitors and resolves collections of past due invoices
  • Coordinates with UAMS Contract Analysts, departments, and Treasurer’s Office to facilitate posting of unapplied payments to correct contract accounts
  • Performs other duties as assigned incidental to the position and the department
