Job Summary
Working under general supervision of the (Sr.) Manager, Partner Alliance, referring only exceptional problems and issues for management review or approval, the Senior Solutions Specialist works directly with Connection sellers and their respective client portfolios to drive demand and pipeline of complex Cisco networking solutions incuding LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and wireless while increasing rapid acceptance of recommended solutions. After assessing the needs of the client given an analysis of the business requirements coupled with the clients' functionalobjectives, the Sr. Solutions Specialist effectively designs and recommends complex Cisco networking solution(s) to the client. The Sr. Solutions Specialists directly engages with the partner engineering team on design and price of the Cisco networking solutions to address the clients' need(s). The Sr. Solutions Specialist trains and supports sellers in effectively packaging, pricing and presenting security solutions to clients including return on investment (ROI) and value propositions.
Responsibilities:
Primary Job Duties
- Drives demand and pipeline for Cisco network device and software solutions through application-centric customer and sales engagement
- Solutions can include routers, switches, wireless access point for use in LANs, WANs, SD-WAN, WiFi and related management tools either on premis or cloud based.
- Analyzes business systems infastructure utilizing applications
- Clarifies clients' mission critical application needs and partner with appropriate Independent Software Vendors (ISVs)
- Defines and articulates a network transformation journey for clients and sellers
- Designs solutions
- Develops customer proposals
- Delivers well-prepared business solutions proposals that connect the solution to business outcomes
- Differentiates partner solutions from competitor's solutions
- Collaborates and employs thought leadership around data center solutions with internal, partner cross-functional teams and senior level management CXO levels
Required Competencies
- Proficient use of Microsoft Excel, Cisco WebEx, Cisco Commerce Workspace, and relevant internal business systems.
- Working knowledge of respective practice area technologies and related product solutions (datacenter, networking, security, cloud, converged, hyperconverged) ability to create well
organized plans and business cases to present to client that clearly articulate relevant facts about proposed business solution - High aptitude to stay current and train on related technology areas
- Account planning skills with experience in up-sell and cross-sell strategies.
- Adept at providing technical solutions based on customer needs per the practice area
- Analytical with ability to assess the customer’s business systems requirements
- Action oriented with strong executional skills
- Self-motivated and results-driven
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and negotiation skills
- Proven experience managing projects and delivering expectations, both internally and with clients
