About the Role
As the Global Team Lead of Sales, Digital Native, you will act as a player-coach to drive strategic sales initiatives within the digital native vertical, encompassing SaaS, e-commerce, and other tech-first businesses. In this critical role, you’ll own your own quota while leading a high-performing sales team to exceed company revenue targets. Your responsibilities will include developing strong customer relationships, closing complex deals, and driving consistent revenue growth within the Digital Native segment.  The ideal candidate will excel at balancing individual contributions with team leadership, bringing proven expertise in navigating fast-paced startup environments.

What You’ll Do:

  • Drive the full sales lifecycle process from plan to close by identifying, cultivating, and closing new business while targeting Digital Native-level organizations and meeting or exceeding assigned quota.
  • Build and maintain a consistent pipeline of leads from your own outbound efforts while deeply understanding customer goals and pain points through discovery and analyzing where StreamNative can add value.
  • Lead, support, and coach the Digital Native team to create a consistent and repeatable pipeline to exceed revenue targets while fostering professional growth and development.
  • Craft and implement a comprehensive sales strategy targeting digital native companies.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and engineering teams to refine go-to-market strategies.
  • Hire, train, and manage a high-impact sales team, promoting a culture of collaboration and accountability.
  • Lead by example in client meetings, presentations, and negotiations.
  • Conduct regular sales performance reviews using data-driven insights to optimize processes and outcomes.
  • Represent the company at key industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and drive leads.

About You

  • 5+ years of experience in B2B SaaS, cloud, or infrastructure software sales.
  • 2-3+ years of Manager and/or Team Lead experience
  • Strong familiarity with sales methodologies like MEDDPICC, Challenger, or similar frameworks.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and sales analytics software.
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in a startup setting, with limited resources and competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to evolving business needs and industry trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus but not required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • You’re ambitious and have a proven track record of consistently exceeding quota 
  • You are technically curious and have a strong technical foundation to learn new technologies and quickly identify ways to help customers succeed
  • You have experience selling highly technical solutions. Experience with Kafka, Pulsar, or Message Queue technologies is a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of networking, event-driven architecture, and/or data streaming systems like Kafka, Pulsar, or similar technology.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is $120,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year, depending on experience and location. Additional compensation may include performance-based bonuses, commission, and equity options.
