Key Responsibilities: 
  • Client Engagement: Collaborate closely with startups to understand their innovative technologies and align them with DoD capability gaps.
  • Acquisition Strategy: Develop and implement tailored strategies for navigating the SBIR and STTR programs, as well as other DoD procurement avenues.
  • Proposal Development: Lead the creation of compelling proposals that meet and exceed DoD requirements, ensuring clarity and compliance.
  • Relationship Building: Leverage and expand NBOUND's network of defense innovation stakeholders to facilitate client introductions and foster lasting partnerships within the DoD.
  • Project Management: Oversee the progression from opportunity identification through to contract execution, ensuring timely and successful outcomes.

Qualifications: 
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in federal acquisitions, defense programs, or related fields; prior military experience is advantageous.
  • Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the SBIR and STTR programs, as well as other DoD procurement processes.
  • Skills: Exceptional communication, proposal writing, and project management abilities.
  • Attributes: Demonstrated integrity, innovation-focused mindset, and a commitment to serving the warfighter.
