Description

Taylor Engineering is seeking a highly organized and dependable Project Coordinator to work in our Jacksonville, Florida office. As Project Coordinator you will work with our Federal Programs supporting FEMA’s MT-2 Letter of Map Revisions (LOMR) program and contributing to the success of other federal contracts.  This is a nation-wide project and will accomplish the mission through hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, model review, quality control, spatial data development and analysis, map production, and watershed management programs.

In this role, you will provide essential support to ensure the smooth execution of projects, maintaining workflow systems, managing communications, and assisting project managers in meeting deadlines. The ideal candidate will be flexible, reliable, and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Tracking: Maintain and update a variety of operational tracking tools to monitor project progress, deadlines, and deliverables.
  • Communication Management: Prepare and handle correspondence, ensuring clear and timely communication between team members, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Follow-Up: Proactively track down and follow up with project managers to ensure tasks and deadlines are met.
  • Documentation: Organize and maintain project documentation, including schedules, reports, and files, ensuring accessibility and accuracy.
  • Coordination: Support project managers by coordinating meetings, preparing agendas, and documenting outcomes.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address any project-related issues or discrepancies, escalating concerns when necessary.
  • Process Improvement: Suggest and implement improvements to tracking and organizational processes to increase team efficiency.

Requirements:

A qualified candidate will possess the following:

  • Associates degree in business administration, project management, communications, or a related discipline.
  • 0-3 years’ experience in a coordination or administrative role (experience in project management support is a plus).
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen to access government systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Publisher and familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Trello, or similar), and graphics development is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
  • Previous experience in project coordination within engineering consulting.
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting requirements.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in business administration, communications, or related degree.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

  • Possesses acceptable vision (with or without corrective lenses) to be able to see and navigate a computer screen
