Job description

Position Summary: The Account Manager Team Lead is responsible for overseeing a team of Account Managers, ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service, driving client satisfaction, and achieving revenue growth targets. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on account management, focusing on mentoring the team, optimizing processes, and building strong client relationships.

Leadership and Team Management:

  • Supervise, mentor, and coach a team of Account Managers, fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.
  • Set clear performance expectations and goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.
  • Lead training sessions and provide ongoing professional development opportunities for the team

    Client Relationship Management:
  • Oversee and ensure the successful management of key accounts by the team, maintaining high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
  • Act as the escalation point for critical client issues, ensuring swift resolution and alignment with client needs.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with high-value clients.

    Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with senior management to set team objectives aligned with company goals.
  • Identify growth opportunities within existing accounts and work with Account Managers to develop strategies for upselling and cross-selling.
  • Monitor market trends and client feedback to adjust strategies and stay competitive.

    Operational Excellence:
  • Implement and refine workflows, tools, and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze team performance metrics, generate reports, and present findings to stakeholders.
  • Manage workload distribution and ensure timely delivery of commitments.

    Collaboration and Communication:
  • Coordinate with other departments (e.g., sales, marketing, customer support) to ensure alignment and support for client success.
  • Act as a liaison between the account management team and company leadership to convey team achievements and challenges.

Qualifications and Skills:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

Experience:

    • Proven experience in account management, with a history of managing high-profile clients.
    • Demonstrated success in leading and developing teamsSkills:
      • Exceptional leadership and coaching abilities.
      • Strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
      • Proficient in CRM software and other account management tools.
