Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Policy Analyst to support Kadiak and our government customer. This is a Remote opportunity. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust.

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Policy Analyst to lead the review and analysis of policies and regulations related to the Indian Health Service (IHS) and the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) in support of enterprise electronic health record (EHR) modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of federal healthcare systems, Indian Health Service operations, and Health and Human Services policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Policy Analysis and Review:
  • Evaluate existing IHS and HHS policies and regulations to identify implications for enterprise EHR modernization efforts.
  • Recommend policy updates or changes to enhance alignment with modernization goals and improve healthcare delivery.
  • Strategic Guidance and Recommendations:
  • Provide expert advice on policy and regulatory matters impacting healthcare operations within federal healthcare systems, including IHS.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategic policy frameworks that address operational challenges in EHR modernization.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Facilitate communication between federal agencies, tribal health organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure policy considerations reflect diverse healthcare needs.
  • Represent the organization in discussions with federal and tribal leadership regarding EHR-related policy matters.
  • Research and Reporting:
  • Conduct in-depth research on healthcare policies, trends, and best practices relevant to EHR modernization.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports, policy briefs, and presentations to inform leadership decision-making.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Master’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, health policy, or a related field is required.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 10 years of healthcare leadership experience, preferably leading direct patient care organizations.
  • Proven experience in Indian Health Service operations and Health and Human Services policy implementation.
  • Extensive background in federal government health systems and familiarity with healthcare policy frameworks.


Skills and Expertise:

  • Strong expertise in healthcare operations, strategic planning, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex policies and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse cultural and organizational contexts.


Requirement:

  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Direct experience with enterprise EHR implementation or modernization initiatives.
  • Knowledge of tribal healthcare systems and community needs.


Work Environment:

This position may require occasional travel to federal healthcare facilities, tribal health organizations, and policy-related meetings. The role is primarily remote but requires collaboration with federal, tribal, and organizational leadership.
