A Day in the Life
In your role as a Contract Analyst at Medtronic, you will embrace a diverse range of duties and opportunities each day. This role will focus on delivering seamless end-to-end contract lifecycle management, ensuring the accurate and timely administration of contracts in alignment with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. You will work in close partnership with internal stakeholders such as sales leadership, offer development, legal partners, and downstream operations partners to uphold the highest standards of contract integrity and performance. You will be tasked to provide guidance and support to business partners, driving compliance and minimizing risk as well as bringing visibility to contractual performance. Your role is pivotal to enable informed decision-making leading to optimal contract outcomes.
As a Contract Analyst at Medtronic supporting the US Enterprise Accounts Pricing & Contracting organization, you will play a crucial role ensuring seamless contract construction, execution, and downstream performance management. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and has a passion for driving business success.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Contract Lifecycle Management
- Administer, extend, negotiate and terminate standard and non-standard contracts.
- Conduct proposal preparation and contract administration including terms & conditions redlining in tandem with legal partners.
- Expert management and organization of executed documents in accordance with department archival standards.
- Support cross-portfolio template simplification and unification.
- Bid Management
- Prepare bids/RFPs/RFIs, produce all required supporting documentation, and ensure timely submission to customer.
- Strategic Collaboration
- Build strong relationships with Medtronic legal partners to ensure contracts are written in accordance with company standards and processes.
- Partner closely with US Enterprise Accounts Field Sales Organization to support contract management activities.
- Collaborate with Offer Development analysts to transform approved offers into a standard contractual document.
- Contract Performance Management
- Utilize contract expiration reporting to identify and communicate upcoming contractual opportunities.
- Utilize contract performance and compliance metrics based on contractual commitments to maximize financial outcomes.
- Projects
- Support Americas Technology Roadmap initiatives.
- Maintain a broad organizational perspective, considering the impact of decisions on the entire enterprise and at times engaging in special projects as a subject matter expert representing contract management.

Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. The majority of time is spent writing, executing, and managing contracts – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

- Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R.
- 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of relevant experience in Contracts or Pricing or equivalent experience OR
- Associate's Degree with 2+ years experience OR
- Baccalaureate Degree with 1+ years experience
Nice to Have Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of contract law and principles.
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
- Experience in the medical device or healthcare industry.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and compliance in the healthcare sector.
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Experience with SAP or other enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems.
- Strong project management skills and experience with project management tools.
- Ability to influence and build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in pricing and analytics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Proven track record of managing complex contracts in a fast-paced environment.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$64,800.00 - $97,200.00
This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).
The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance, Health Savings Account, Healthcare Flexible Spending Account, Life insurance, Long-term disability leave, Dependent daycare spending account, Tuition assistance/reimbursement, and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
