Position Summary

The SAP SCM Solution Architect is responsible for designing and implementing integrated SAP Supply Chain Management (SCM) solutions to meet business requirements. This role involves working closely with stakeholders, business analysts, and development teams to develop scalable, cost-effective solutions for supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, production planning, and logistics.

As an expert in SAP SCM, the Solution Architect will ensure the design and architecture align with the business objectives, optimizing the overall performance and efficiency of the organization's supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Solution Design and Architecture:
• Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end SAP SCM solutions (including modules such as SAP MM, SAP WM, SAP PP, SAP APO, and SAP S/4HANA).
• Define the solution architecture, technical specifications, and integration points between SAP SCM and other systems (e.g., ERP, third-party logistics systems, IoT platforms).
• Develop high-level and detailed solution designs that meet business requirements while ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Requirements Gathering:
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, process owners, and end users to understand business needs, challenges, and objectives.
• Translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for SAP SCM solutions.
• Customization and Configuration:
• Configure SAP SCM modules to meet business requirements, including custom development as needed.
• Provide guidance on best practices for SCM processes and system configurations (e.g., inventory optimization, procurement strategies, production planning).
• Integration and Testing:
• Oversee the integration of SAP SCM with other systems (e.g., SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, third-party applications).
• Manage testing cycles (unit, integration, user acceptance testing) to ensure the solution meets functional and technical requirements.
• Project Management:
• Participate in project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams (technical, functional, business) to deliver projects on time and within scope.
• Stakeholder Management:
• Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of solutions, challenges, and milestones.
• Provide regular project updates to management and other key stakeholders.
• Training and Knowledge Transfer:
• Develop training materials and provide training to end-users and SAP support teams.
• Lead knowledge transfer sessions for team members and business users on best practices and system usage.
• Continuous Improvement:
• Monitor the performance of implemented solutions and recommend optimizations for further enhancements.
• Stay up-to-date with new SAP technologies, industry trends, and best practices to drive innovation within the organization.
  

Required Qualifications

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
• SAP certifications in relevant SCM modules (SAP MM, SAP WM, SAP PP, SAP APO, SAP S/4HANA) are a plus.
• Experience:
• 8+ years of experience in SAP SCM, with a focus on solution architecture, implementation, and integration.
• Proven experience in SAP module configuration and integration (SAP MM, SAP WM, SAP PP, SAP APO, SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA, etc.).
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA and cloud-based solutions (e.g., SAP Fiori, SAP Ariba) is preferred.
• Strong understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes, including procurement, inventory management, order management, logistics, and production planning.
• Skills & Competencies:
• In-depth knowledge of SAP SCM and integration with other SAP modules (e.g., SAP SD, SAP MM, SAP PP).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Project management experience, with familiarity in Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies.
• Ability to lead and mentor a team of consultants and developers.
• Up to 50% of travel required depending on the project.
