A Software Developer engages in all phases of the software development lifecycle which includes gathering and analyzing user/business system requirements, responding to outages, and creating application system models. Participate in design meetings and consult with clients to refine, test and debug programs to meet business needs in the achievement of business and technology initiatives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Develop, test, and deploy full stack web and responsive mobile software applications.
Clearly and regularly communicate with management and technical support colleagues.
Design and update the software data layer from within a full stack architecture.
Test, maintain and recommend software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
Work with team members to review new and existing code and conduct root cause analysis of defects.
Identify ideas to improve system performance and impact availability.
Resolve complex technical design issues.
Development of technical specifications and plans.
Provide comprehensive support to internal customers; achieve resolution to outstanding defects.
Compile timely, comprehensive, and accurate documentation and/or reports as requested.
Work Environment Requirements:
This role requires extended periods of computer screen usage for tasks such as data entry, research, and virtual meetings.
The ability to maintain focus and productivity while working for long hours in front of a screen is essential.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Education / Licensing:
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent professional certifications and/or experience.
Knowledge of insurance claims industry a plus.
Technical Skills:
At least 3 years of experience using the Angular 12+ web development framework is required.
At least a 1 full year of experience using Python in any development capacity is required.
At least 1 full year of experience with MongoDB is required.
Ability to multi-task and change from one task to another without loss of efficiency or composure.
Prior functional experience in full software development life cycle methodologies.
Must be highly organized and possess good time management.
Experience with AWS is a plus, but not required.
An understanding of software development life cycle methodologies.
Abilities:
Requires long periods of sitting and/or standing.
Repeated use of keyboard, mouse, and exposure to computer screens.
Excellent ability to persuade and influence others.
Willingness to work flexible hours.

In the spirit of pay transparency we are excited to share the base salary for the position of Claims Adjuster is exclusive of fringe benefits or potential bonuses. This position is also eligible for an annual performance raise if all guidelines are met. Your salary compensation will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education and or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equality and consider internal equality of our current team members as a final part of any offer. Please keep in mind that range mentioned above is full base salary range for the role. Hiring at maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow future and continued salary growth.
