We are seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Administrator to oversee and optimize the administration of our Client's BI platforms and systems. In this strategic role, you will manage the day-to-day operations of BI tools and ensure their seamless integration with data infrastructure.
This is a 100% Remote role, 6 month contract to hire, targeting an hourly range of $50-85 DOE, benefits eligible.

What You Will Be Doing:
BI Platform Administration: Oversee the administration, configuration, and optimization of BI tools and platforms, including IBI WebFOCUS, ThoughtSpot, and other related systems.
System Performance & Availability: Ensure the availability, performance, and reliability of BI platforms. Monitor system health, troubleshoot performance issues, and implement solutions to ensure high availability.
Data Integration Management: Manage the integration of BI systems with data sources (e.g., Snowflake), ensuring smooth data flow, data integrity, and reliable reporting capabilities.
User Access & Security: Administer user access controls, roles, and security permissions within BI platforms, ensuring proper data access governance in compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.
System Upgrades & Patching: Plan, test, and implement upgrades, patches, and enhancements to BI platforms, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
Data Governance & Compliance: Establish and enforce data governance practices to ensure the quality, integrity, and security of the data used across BI systems. Ensure compliance with organizational data policies and relevant industry regulations.
Training & Support: Provide ongoing support to end-users and teams using BI systems. Lead training initiatives to ensure proper usage of the tools and improve user adoption.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: Mentor a team of BI administrators and support staff, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including IT, data engineering, and business units, to ensure BI systems meet organizational needs. Work with vendors to resolve platform-related issues and ensure software is up to date.
Incident Management: Lead incident management efforts, troubleshooting platform issues, and escalating complex problems when necessary. Ensure quick resolution of any critical system outages.
BI System Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of BI system configurations, processes, and procedures for internal use and compliance purposes.
What You Bring:
6+ years of experience in Business Intelligence administration or data operations, with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role.
Strong experience with BI platform administration, specifically with tools like IBI WebFOCUS, ThoughtSpot, and data integration platforms such as Snowflake.
Proven experience managing the operational aspects of BI tools, including platform performance, user access, security, and system upgrades.
Expertise in data governance principles, data security, and compliance standards, with the ability to manage sensitive data and ensure regulatory compliance.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, particularly related to BI system performance, integration, and user access issues.
Strong leadership and team management skills with a focus on mentoring, coaching, and performance optimization for BI administrators.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A collaborative mindset, capable of working with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, and data engineers, to ensure BI systems support organizational goals.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and BI system integration within cloud environments.
WebFOCUS and ThoughtSpot certification is a plus.
Familiarity with database management (e.g., SQL, Snowflake) and data warehousing best practices.
