The Gold Standard seeks a highly motivated individual to join our Standard development and Innovation team. It’s a full-time position responsible for leading the assurance review of our projects with a focus on mitigation solutions under the AGR scope. The position reports to Manager – Assurance review management (LUF). This is a remote position depending on country location (India, Germany, UK).

Today, our standard, ‘Gold Standard for the Global Goals’, allows climate and development initiatives within carbon markets, corporate supply chains, and sustainable finance to manage, measure and maximise their impacts toward the Net Zero ambition of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

• Lead comprehensive reviews of projects seeking Gold Standard certification, including thorough assessment of methodology application, emission reduction/removal calculations, and sustainable development impacts 
• Evaluate project documentation, monitoring reports, and verification statements against Gold Standard
• Coordinate with project developers, validation/verification bodies (VVBs), and technical experts to resolve technical queries and maintain high certification standards

• Assist the assurance manager in delivering impactful training to internal staff, experts, VVBs, project developers, and other stakeholders, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.  

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years of demonstrated experience of working with certification or third-party auditing system and in-depth knowledge of how they are managed   

• A good understanding of the role of a Standard system like Gold Standard, CDM
• Experience of working with Agriculture projects
• Experience with digital Monitoring, Reporting and Verification (MRV) technologies in agricultural projects
• Ability to work under pressure and juggle multiple tasks and projects   
• A good team player with a positive outlook on work and a desire to make a difference in the world
