Job description

Role: Researcher / Lao Translator

This is a freelance contract. 

Location: Remote

Role mission: 

This role will be responsible for researching and translating legal and regulatory content into Lao. 

Responsibilities:  

  •  Review and edit translations of laws, legal documents, and/or any other documents from Lao to English
  • Use the CUBE platform to Match sections of laws to sections in CUBE.
  • Conduct legal research using official sources from Lao jurisdiction/s and language/s
  • Conduct ad hoc/assigned research in Lao

What we’re looking for: 

  •  Fluent translating and writing skills in Lao
  • Good research skills with an ability to analyse and interpret complex information.
  • Written and spoken English(UK) is a necessity
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Good knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint, and ability to work with electronic research resources.
  • Ability to observe strict confidentiality.
  • Proven team skills
