Job description

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide technical advice and support on Hempel’s product and services to Hempel’s customers while complying to the technical parameters/ specification, practices and procedures

  • Working with Hempel’s sales and delivering the agreed level of services to the customers in accordance to the agreement while demonstrating strong customers orientation where customers recognizes the value Hempel’s services

  • Delivering the service and product performance through observation, monitoring (of site work), highlighting (to customers, TS managers and sales) and recording (on corporate reporting) on any deviation to the specification execution.

  • Evaluate customer needs and recommend the right products.

  • Assist in complaint handling to ensure efficient complaint resolution and timely closure.

  • Proactive in advising application and performance related concerns and immediately addressed to external stakeholders in consultation with sales and TS management.

  • Ensure conforming to Hempel’s reporting guidelines

  • Analyze problems and implement our coating solutions

  • Assist in coaching and development of junior staff

Required education, experience and job-related skills:

  • Minimum ITE or GCE ‘O’ with a pass in English.

  • NACE 2/3 and FROSIO 2/3.

  • At least 3 years experience in delivering services or coatings in  shipyard’ or shop line or refineries/plant environment either as applicator, yard or paint maker experience

  • Strong customers focus and orientation.

  • Able to travel within short notices and without passport restriction.

  • Good English competence (written and spoken) with good reporting skills.

  • Valid driving license.
