Job description

As a Senior Azure Support Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and managing internal and customer Azure and Microsoft 365 environments. You will manage, maintain, and enhance our clients’ Azure public cloud environments while troubleshooting and resolving complex infrastructure issues. Your expertise in provisioning Azure and Microsoft 365 resources and problem-solving will be essential to ensure high availability, scalability, and ease of maintenance for our cloud customers. In this role, you will collaborate closely with customers to coordinate maintenance windows and manage change activities effectively.

Location: Ukraine (remote)
On-Call: 24/7 on-call rotation for US after-hours every 3 weeks

Your day will consist of:

  • Azure Infrastructure Management:
    • Implement, support, and maintain 24x7 customer Azure environments, including Citrix and Windows technologies for remote application access.
    • Manage Azure configurations and resource deployments in compliance with established technology policies.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve Azure performance issues and manage the availability of critical services.
  • Microsoft 365 Management:
    • Implement, support, and maintain Microsoft 365 environments for Enavate and its clients. Microsoft 365 technologies include but are not limited to:
      • Exchange Online
      • SharePoint Online
      • Teams
      • Intune
  • Project & Team Leadership:
    • Lead multiple large-scale projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
    • Provide technical leadership to team members and guide them in resolving Azure, Windows, M365 and Citrix escalations.
  • Strategic Planning & Technical Recommendations:
    • Make ongoing recommendations to improve Azure, Citrix, and Windows policies and standards.
    • Design technical solutions that enhance performance, increase redundancy, and add flexibility to infrastructure.
  • Collaboration & Communication:
    • Collaborate with customers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.
    • Coordinate with third-party vendors, evaluate vendor software, and make recommendations to leadership.
  • Maintenance & Incident Management:
    • Prioritize and resolve incidents, ensuring timely resolution.
    • Participate in on-call rotations as an Azure and Citrix escalation engineer (approx. one week per month).
  • Cloud Environment Development:
    • Build and maintain cloud environments for high availability, ease of maintenance, and scalability.
    • Ensure proper upgrade and backup strategies for core infrastructure.
  • Change Management:
    • Regularly participate in change control activities following ITIL change management standards.

 

Here is what it takes to be successful in the role:

  • Experience:
    • 6+ years of experience implementing and supporting Azure, Microsoft 365, Windows Server, and Citrix technologies.
    • Proven experience with Citrix ADC, CVAD, Citrix Cloud DaaS.
    • Extensive knowledge of Windows technologies: RDS, IIS, GPOs, and Active Directory.
    • Familiarity with Netscaler Load Balancing solutions and Azure networking.
    • Experience with ASR/DR testing and failovers.
  • Certifications:
    • Citrix CCA-V certification or equivalent work experience.
    • AZ-104 certification.
    • AZ-800 certification.
    • MS-102
  • Technical Skills:
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft CSP program and Lighthouse.
    • Working knowledge of Azure and IaaS Microsoft 365 Modern Workplace technologies.
    • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Azure, Windows, and Citrix issues.
    • Understanding of data communication architectures.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Positive attitude with a passion for solving challenging infrastructure issues.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate with customers and team members.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Self-starter capable of working independently on complex tasks.
    • Demonstrated ability to perform well under pressure.


Bonus Points for:

  • Additional Citrix or Azure certifications.
  • Powershell scripting for deployment automation.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
