As we continue to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Billing Operations Manager to lead and optimize our billing processes, ensuring operational excellence and exceptional client service.

About the Role

The Billing Operations Manager will play a critical role in overseeing the end-to-end billing process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and efficiency. You will lead a high-performing team, manage relationships with external vendors, and implement process improvements to enhance client satisfaction and operational effectiveness. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented leader with deep expertise in billing operations and a passion for creating scalable systems in a fast-paced environment.

Overall, you will:
  • Ensure accurate and timely billing operations by overseeing workflows, resolving discrepancies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Lead a team of Billing Liaisons and call center staff, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and client-focused service.
  • Manage vendor relationships and optimize billing systems to drive efficiency and reduce errors.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve internal billing processes to align with organizational goals.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for billing-related client inquiries, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
  • Develop and deliver performance reports, highlighting opportunities for operational improvements and implementing data-driven solutions.
Within 1 month, you will:
  • Gain a deep understanding of Rhythm’s billing processes, workflows, and vendor relationships.
  • Build strong relationships with your team and key stakeholders across the organization.
  • Identify immediate opportunities for improving billing accuracy and timeliness.
  • Establish a reporting cadence for billing performance metrics.
Within 3 months, you will:
  • Implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and reduce billing discrepancies.
  • Oversee your team in delivering high-quality client service, ensuring prompt resolution of inquiries and issues.
  • Manage vendor performance and integration with internal systems, ensuring seamless workflows.
  • Deliver actionable insights and recommendations based on billing performance data.
Within 6 months, you will:
  • Build a scalable, streamlined billing process that supports Rhythm’s growth and aligns with industry best practices.
  • Establish Rhythm as a leader in billing accuracy and client satisfaction within the healthcare industry.
  • Successfully oversee the implementation of new tools or systems to improve billing operations.
  • Become a trusted partner to leadership, providing data-driven insights and strategic recommendations for continued operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in billing operations or Revenue Cycle Management
  • Proven experience managing and developing high-performing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of medical billing, claims management, and healthcare regulations.
  • Familiarity with top-tier RCM software, such as Xifin or alike, preferrable.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex operational issues.
