Background:

AccuTrade (a Cars Commerce solution), creates SaaS software that makes it easy for automotive consumers to get a guaranteed price when selling their used vehicle, and gives automotive dealers tools to understand the used vehicle market. We help dealers make the right decision when purchasing vehicles from consumers or other dealers, and give them clear insights into how to best monetize their inventory. Our products are used by thousands of consumers and dealers daily.

We use modern tools to improve our productivity and are always looking to include innovative new approaches to our process. We run on Angular, Django/DRF, IAC, Gitlab, Kubernetes and AWS. We've been remote since our inception and have a great culture built around online communication and empowering team members.

About the role:

We are looking for a knowledgeable, experienced all-around Python Django DRF superstar to join our dynamic 100% remote team. As a Senior Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions that meet the needs of our organization and its clients. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable software products.

• Design, develop, and maintain Python-based software solutions that align with business objectives and technical requirements.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.

• Lead technical discussions and provide guidance to junior developers on software design and implementation.

• Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirements.

• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, reliability, and maintainability.

• Identify and troubleshoot issues, debug code, and implement effective solutions.

• Stay updated on emerging technologies, trends, and best practices in software development.

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies.

• Mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of learning and growth within the team.

• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, providing updates on project progress and challenges.

Required skills and experience:

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, focused on backend development of multi-tenant SaaS applications.

• 5+ years of Python Django DRF development.

• 5+ years of MySQL or equivalent. 

• Comfortable building new application features as well as maintaining and refactoring existing code. 

• Senior level MySQL or equivalent experience, with skills around SQL optimization.

• Experience working in a CI/CD environment.

• Experience working in a fully remote environment with an agile team. 

• Ability to work with QA to quickly identify and resolve tough to troubleshoot issues. 

• Experience with swagger or other code documentation tools. 

• Ability to write clearly and concisely and document processes and code. 

• Experience using Figma, Trello, Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, Kubernetes. 

• Experience working with AWS. 

• Automated test experience.
