 Founded in 2021, the Airbus Global Business Services (AGBS) unit will be contributing to Airbus’ global success and play a vital role in Airbus’ transformation journey in standardization, harmonization, digitalisation and automation of end-to-end processes (e.g.Procure to Pay) of all overhead functions. Responsibilities - your mission

Airbus is preparing for a successful future and for the next generation of zero-emission aircraft with the implementation of a new industrial setup. It will lay the foundation of Airbus' future entrepreneurial success and thus contribute to long-term job security.

At the heart of this new industrial setup is the bundling of all aerostructures assembly activities in a strong aerostructures assembly company in Germany. Combining these activities is intended to make processes more efficient, stabilize the industrial system and improve competitiveness in the long term.

You will be working within the procurement team of Airbus Aerostructure. The team is responsible for a large number of central purchasing activities, supply chain quality and other activities like process management, data analytics or digitization.

In your role as Tactical Buyer you will be responsible for tactical sourcing activities and providing contract management support for the Strategic Procurement team focusing on Aerostructures and Composites parts.

Main responsibilities

  • Act as an extended member of the ASA Procurement function for Tactical Sourcing and Contract Management activities for the assigned scope

  • Manage end-to-end or support Call for Tenders and supplier selection process in a fair competition mode 

  • Processing and administration of contractual documents 

  • Ensure the adequate cascading of Airbus Requirements within the Supply Chain and related suppliers’ compliance by e.g. negotiation of the applicable contractual requirements and documents  with suppliers; escalation to the strategic Buyer upon need

  • Updates of procurement related data in Procurement tools (e.g. SAP) or support to the creation of specific Purchase Orders

  • Ensure regular two-way communication with strategic buyers in Airbus Aerostructures Procurement commodities and process urgent ad-hoc requests as needed

  • Contribute to the automation, digitalization and continuous improvement of the described procurement activities / processes in scope

 

Requirements - our ideal candidate will have/be

  • university degree in Business Administration or equivalent desirable

  • experience in procurement with well developed negotiation skills and contract management experience 

  • "delivery" oriented with a strong focus on customers’ satisfaction

  • strong and effective communication skills with the capacity to work across functions

  • fluent in English both written and verbal, German is a plus 

  • a team player comfortable with remote working

  • proactive and creative mind-set 

  • open to some travel (mainly Germany) for business reasons as required.
