Responsibilities

Develop detailed CAD drawings for ECO's, product changes, and global product development projects as necessary. Assist with new product development as a pooled resource, taking direction from the design leader(s) to create designs and drawings.
Assist in the development and implementation of best practices for CAD drafting, GD&T application, follow ASME standards, and PLM processes.
Develop proficient CAD drafting skills, continuously working on improving CAD expertise and help other CAD Team Members with technical support, training and general assistance as required.
Conduct thorough checks of drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASME standards and BISSELL CAD Standards Manual.
Understand and apply GD&T properly on drawings.
Create and manage standardized drawing notes, symbols, tables, templates and formats.
Utilize Windchill PLM software to manage and maintain CAD data, including version control, data integrity, and documentation.
Assist with creating CAD drafting and/or systems recommendations toward continuous improvement in CAD usage, product development, and other procedures as it pertains to the BISSELL CAD standards.
Assist with ECO work as needed and ensure that the ECO CAD drafting work coming into the department has been approved and the information such as marked up prints are complete.
Mentor CAD Drafters through the drawing change process.
Assist with CAD drawing ModelCheck, as assigned.
Support the CAD department; help other users, understand primary data management tools and other miscellaneous tasks.

This position requires the ability to manage the flow of data, perform analysis, generate summary reports and communicate by voice or data while being connected in the office, at home or while travelling by laptop or mobile device regularly without regard to time zone or day of the week.
