Job Summary:
The Learning Experience Designer oversees learning projects from analysis to evaluation, creating engaging eLearning, virtual classrooms, and blended training programs. This role partners with business stakeholders to identify training needs, advocate for the learner experience, and apply adult learning theory to enhance performance outcomes. Responsibilities include establishing metrics to evaluate training effectiveness, designing with those metrics in mind, analyzing results post-implementation, and sharing insights with stakeholders.
Your Roles & Responsibilities:
Business Partner: Partner with the business to identify performance gaps, skill gaps, and other enablement needs in the organization. Design solutions that align with business objectives and enhance employee performance.
Instructional Design: Utilize Adult Learning Theory to design, develop, and update learning materials, including eLearning, virtual classrooms, job aids, and blended learning solutions.
Program Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement learning programs that support strategic initiatives, including setting timelines, managing resources, and measuring program effectiveness.
Produce Live Learning Sessions: Manage the technical and logistical aspects of live learning events, ensuring smooth execution and optimal learner experience.
Evaluation & Reporting: Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics, continuously improving the learning experience.
Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with business leaders and subject matter experts to ensure learning initiatives meet the evolving needs of the organization.
Continuous Improvement: Stay current with learning trends and technologies, recommending new approaches to enhance learning delivery and program outcomes.
Serve as Backup LMS Administrator: Provide support as a secondary Learning Management System (LMS) administrator, assisting with troubleshooting, learning catalog management, user management, and reporting during periods when the primary administrator is unavailable.
Required Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years in an Instructional Designer or Learning Experience Designer role.
- Experience consulting with business leaders, providing training design and development support.
- Experience integrating accessibility and inclusivity principles into learning.
Skills:
- Strong instructional design skills with proficiency in adult learning theory and blended learning approaches.
- Project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders effectively.
- Ability to take initiative on projects with minimal oversight and achieve on-time delivery.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in learning technologies (e.g., LMS, vILT platforms like Zoom or Teams).
- Proficiency with eLearning development tools (Articulate, Camtasia, Vyond, etc.).
- Ability to analyze data to assess learning program effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Learning & Development, Organizational Development, Psychology, Human Resources, Education, or related field.
- Certificate(s) or Certification from ATD, Training Magazine Live & Online, or similar
- Experience with the Kirkpatrick Four Levels of Evaluation
- Action Mapping experience
- Experience API (xAPI experience)
- Graphic design experience
- Staffing industry experience
The anticipated annual base salary for this position in the US is $65,000 to $75,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
