Newtek Insurance Agency, is a retail and wholesale brokerage insurance agency licensed in all 50 states, specializing in the sale of commercial and health/benefits lines insurance products to the SMB market as well as various personal lines of insurance.
As an AVP, Insurance Services - Commercial Lines Specialist I, you will be responsible for writing of new business and servicing of existing clients. This requires the ability to organize, manage multiple tasks, manage client, and company relationships, and gather and communicate technical information as it pertains to insurance. Maintain a professional working relationship with internal customers and external clients.
Job Responsibilities Include But Not Limited To
- Manage the assigned book of renewal business and create new business to drive revenue growth and
- Obtain underwriting information, prepare applications and specifications for renewal and new business
- Qualify and analyze client's coverage needs, loss exposure, recommend
- Inform clients about policy inclusions, limitations, and
- Secure all placement subjectivities by obtaining signed documentation and collecting
- Provide renewal quotes and account rounding opportunities, communicate coverage terms and conditions of quotes to
- Engage in daily virtual client interaction through impactful communication across phone, webinars, emails, PowerPoint,
- Educate and consult prospects on coverages that are available and appropriate for their
- Review existing policies and endorsements, request changes to the renewal underwriter for
- Prepare schedules of insurance, D. cards, binders, certificates of insurance, issue finance agreements.
- Return phone calls and respond to e-mails in a timely Follow up on policy audits related to worker's compensation, general liability, etc.
- Maintain accounts in Client Portal (Insurlink), set status to active/inactive and send invites to access portal to Update team members via email, etc.
- Maintain contact with the client base throughout the year per frequency set by
Qualifications Include But Not Limited To
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 3 of customer service in the insurance industry
- Valid Property and Casualty License (P&C) and provide copy for
- Prior position as an Associate Customer Service Representative a
- Ability to read policies and break down
- An understanding of the appropriate markets and their relative business model a
- Possess a sense of urgency and ownership when dealing with clients and prospects of
- Ability to actively listen, give full attention to what other people are saying, taking the time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate
- Attention to accuracy and detail in processing
- Ability to differentiate between agency bill clients and direct bill clients and the servicing needs of

- Proficient in Windows based computer applications (Microsoft Office; Excel, Word and Outlook) and internal systems such as NewTracker, Pipeline Manager, Benefit Point, ImageRight.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 to $60,000 a year.
